Governor Tony Evers made a visit to Cumberland Elementary School today where #CSDGoBeavers students and staff members got to interact with him.
Governor Evers did a Q&A session with the fourth-grade class of Mr. Strangstalien. Our students did an excellent job asking questions to the Governor.
During lunch, the students had the opportunity to engage with Governor Evers and our lunch ladies had a chance to speak with him.
Governor Evers read the second graders a special book after lunch called "Why Not You," from Grammy-winning pop star Ciara and Super Bowl champion quarterback Russell Wilson comes a picture book to inspire young readers to see the value in themselves, be brave, and go after their biggest dreams!
To end the Governor’s visit, he participated with the second-grade class in a sing-along to “Country Road, where the Governor substituted Wisconsin for West Virginia as Mr. Lundquist played his guitar.
